Nuk Bottles

!±8± Nuk Bottles

Nuk bottles are manufactured by Gerber baby products and they are loved by moms everywhere. They have a special orthodontic nipple which is recommended for baby's developing mouth. It is also said to be easy for breastfeeding tots to transition between if the mother decides to give a bottle instead of the actual breast for a feeding. They are very reasonably priced and come in adorable designs for girls and boys and they even have gender neutral designs too. When the child is ready, usually by the time they reach one year of age, it is generally advised to switch from bottles to sippy cups and Gerber makes a Nuk style sippy cup which many little ones like. Their complete line of products includes accessories such as pacifiers with the same nipple shape, bottle warmers and sterilizing equipment. In addition, the company makes toddler tableware such as plates, snack cups, and utensils.

If you are going to use their products, I recommend buying at least three small sized bottles and six of the larger size. This is because most babies only stay on the small size for about three months before they are at the stage where they are able to take in more milk, thus you will need to switch to the bigger bottles before you know it. If you are like me and you don't like doing dishes very much, then you will probably want to purchase more so that you can go a day in between without having to wash them all. The very first time you use them you need to sterilize all the parts - the bottle, nipple and nipple ring - in boiling water for five minutes. You can do this in a large pot on your stovetop, in the microwave, or in an actual sterilizing machine. Once they are sterile, you can simply wash them with warm soapy water in the future.

My son loved his Nuk pacifier so much so that he used it until he was about eighteen months old. We had a bunch of different colors, but I liked the navy blue and white one the best. The pacifier also needs to be sterilized before you first use it, so I usually just would throw it in with the bottles when I did them. I never did try their tableware products, but they do look great and we may end up buying some of them for our daughter when she reaches the toddler eating stage.
