Normally the babies start teething when they are around two months old. In general babies drool a lot and but normally it increases when they are teething.

Hence it is very essential that you put bib for them especially during this time and try to keep their chin area dry in order to avoid rashes.

During this time majority of the babies want to bite anything that comes to their hand since biting helps to relive the pressure from under the gums. Biting teeth is also one of the most common signs of babies teething.

You can get some good quality teething ring for your baby during this time. You can keep some teething rings or teething jelly in the fridge in order to make it cold as it will help the baby's gums to be bit frost.

Normally the first tooth of the baby appears when they are around six to nine months old. But it is also said that in case any close family member of the baby had teeth sooner than the teeth may appear sooner for the baby too.

When baby's teeth starts appearing it needs to be cleaned and you can clean it using washed soft cloth or a soft toothbrush specially designed for the babies.

Based on the research and studies done by the American Dental Association it has been proved that brushing the teeth alone helps in removing only about 40% of the food that stick to them.

It is a good idea to start flossing your baby's teeth at the early stage itself. With the help of flossing the daily cavities and bad breath can come out quickly.

It is also a good practice to take your children to dentist two times every year. You can start this practice when they turn three years old.
